Is the Nikon D60 Worth the Price?

So lately I find myself very intrigued with photography.  So much so that I am thinking of taking it up as a hobby.  With the technology out now you really don’t have to know much about photography to take amazing photos.

It’s killing me smalls.  Now having a family and a little guy I feel that alone will justify buying such an awesome camera.  It would be awesome to take high quality pictures whenever I wanted that will be able to keep forever.  I could capture pictures of my wife’s honest and of course  I have the cutest son in the entire world.  And as an added bonus, maybe i’ll pick up some photography tricks along the way and really does turn into a hobby.

Anyway, I am doing my research so if anyone has any pointers on a solid camera that is out there I would love to hear it.

Oh, and this jibberish below is my attempt to make fun of those coffee shop newspapers where desperate people leave a message saying they saw you somewhere.  Honestly, do people respond to those?  If so, are they normal people?

You we’re on a commercial on my television.  Ahston Kutcher was holding you and I wanted to hold you too.  I can tell by looking you that you take crisp, precise and fresh photos.

I was on my couch.  Then I saw you again on my computer on a few websties.  You’re everywhere but nowhere at the sametime.  Where can I find you?
